About Us

Hi, my name is Sharon, the owner of Beautifully Blemished Market. I have a passion for finding, refinishing, and repurposing both vintage and traditional furniture. What started as a hobby has turned into a passion. With that, Beautifully Blemished Market was born. Beautifully Blemished Market is a store where you’ll find a mix of the old and the new, comfortably mingling, creating a feeling, an inspiration, about the things we surround ourselves with within our homes as well as our businesses. At Beautifully Blemished, we take pride in bringing new life to furniture pieces, breathing fresh air into meaningful items, as well as rediscovering the charm, timelessness, and sometimes one-of-a-kind character. An unexpected bit of sparkle here and there, most definitely a pop of color – we are also a depot for Dixie Belle Paint and supplies. Our found and reclaimed items are captivating pieces that have stood the test of time with a little tender, loving care and now have a fresh look. We look forward to sharing our treasures with you!

I’ve had a cedar chest and a secretary desk sitting in my house for the last 25 years that belonged to my grandma. I’ve always thought about getting them refinished so they would be something I could use and display in our house in a prominent place. The work that Sharon did on the pieces is beyond anything I ever imagined. They went from dull and old looking to two of the most stunning items I have in my living room. Sharon was so knowledgeable in helping me pick out the perfect paint and stain colors and the work she did on them is outstanding. There were parts of the chest and desk that either had to be replaced or needed to be reattached and she did an amazing job. I’m glad that it took me so long to get this done because it led me to Sharon and her talent for making these old pieces new again. I walked into the store to get the springs in an old family rocking chair fixed and asked about them about the availability of an old foot stool. They just happened to have gotten one in, and I knew I wanted/needed it. I went to the Portage Furniture Store to buy the fabric covering (they were awesome) and ordered it. I was going out of town for a few weeks, Beautifully Blemished went to the store and paid for the fabric when it came in. The piece is awesome! They had received another piece in that I wanted, had enough fabric to cover it, and called me right away to see if I was interested, so I got that as well.
